Creators of the future. How people move on the water.
As pioneers in the field of water-based electromobility since inception, Torqeedo has become the benchmark standard against which all others are measured. This has reinforcing the advantage of their motors over all other solutions available on the market.
Superior technology and revolutionary benefits are what they set out to achieve. And every product that Torqeedo brings to market meets both these criteria. All their drive systems operate at record levels with regard to overall efficiency, the most important measure of electric propulsion, as it determines potential power and range for a limited battery supply.
Torqeedo offers outboards and inboards, electric motors and hybrid drive systems ranging from 0.5 to 100 kW on motor level (up to 200 kW on system level). There are also all sorts of functional and innovative accessories – from lithium batteries and solar charging equipment to smartphone apps.
There are no other electric drives which have received nearly as many awards in the boating industry as the Torqeedo drives. In this respect, Torqeedo drives are playing in a different league. Their engineering innovation and product design is nothing other than class leading and points the way to the future of propulsion in yachts.
As one of the world’s finest and most renowned manufacturers it is a privilege for us to represent Torqeedo both in London and throughout the United Kingdom. On this website I can only offer a taste of this fantastic brand; nonetheless I shall try to give you a flavour of their wonderful products.

There are significant restrictions on operating combustion engines on Lake Starnberg. This led Gardena managers Dr Christoph Ballin and Dr Friedrich Böbel to looking into the question of electric boat propulsion. Instead of finding high-tech products and drive systems produced on an industrial scale, they discovered a market opportunity.
When they founded Torqeedo, concepts such as clean tech and electromobility had not yet been coined. But it was already obvious back in 2004 that electric motors would become increasingly important in the future due to global population growth, limited oil reserves and efforts to limit global warming.
And since a good idea is also an obligation – the lack of competitive products on the one hand and the future significance of electric propulsion systems on the other gave rise to Torqeedo.
The desire to safeguard nature for future generations is the same all over the world – it is encountered in industrial nations and in emerging economies, in east and west and in all social strata. The interest in environmentally friendly solutions is also correspondingly high.
Torqeedo offer such solutions for water-based propulsion systems, combined with advice, delivery and service. In over 50 countries, on 5 continents.
